UN-HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Last night marked the 1 year anniversary of Isiah Thomas' contract extension. Fittingly they lost, bringing his record to a putrid 22-60 since then, and 51-94 overall as head coach. Wow. At least Thomas takes full responsibility for his ineptness. Yet he still expects to be ruining the Knicks in '09. Wow.

Friday against Detroit, Thomas went with a mini youth movement, playing Wilson Chandler, Renaldo Balkman, Randolph Morris, and Mardy Collins in the same game for just the second time this season (and not playing Quentin Richardson at all). Yet, without Jamal Crawford, Zach Randolph, and Eddy Curry last night, Q-Rich started at SG, while both Morris and Collins were DNP's. Huh?
