THE FUTURE IS NOW

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the Knicks' and Isiah Thomas' respective futures. With all the rumors flying around about owner Jim Dolan meeting with perspective execs Kiki Vandeweghe and Donnie Walsh, it seems that Dolan is finally ready to rid the Knicks of Isiah's presence. The sooner the better, in my opinion. Personally, I'm hoping for Jerry Colangelo. But ANYONE would be an upgrade over Thomas. Hiring the GM (or President of Basketball Operations, if you prefer ) is MUCH more important than worrying about the next coach. Dolan needs to hire an accomplished and savvy basketball man, then let him do his job and hire a coach that fits his philosophy.

Only one thing is certain, next year can't be as bad as this one (unless Isiah Thomas is still here).
